01

Yarn and Feel

It starts with the yarn.

Yarn influences how a sock feels, stretches, holds its shape and carries color. It is one of the foundations of a comfortable knitted sock.

From Artwork to Stitches

A design becomes a knit.

Before knitting begins, shapes and colors are translated into a stitch structure. A stitch map tells the knitting machine where each color and detail belongs.

Knitting the Sock

One sock,
thousands of stitches.

Circular knitting machines build a sock continuously, stitch by stitch. Different yarn colors work together as the pattern becomes part of the knitted fabric itself.

Finishing and Checking

The final steps make the difference.

Knitting is only part of the process. After knitting, socks are finished, shaped and checked before they become part of a completed pair.
